The 2026 Daffodils4Detroit Luncheon is
Wednesday, April 15 at the Detroit Yacht Club.
Daffodil Day Luncheon --Sunny Yellow-- is Wednesday, April 15, 2026
Spring is sprung when we see the colorful blooms of bulbs and flowering branches, especially DAFFODILS -- Yellow Dutch Master daffodils springing up around Belle Isle and our metropolitan area to be more precise. It is your support that brings these blooms that generate uplifted spirits and smiles at the end of a Michigan winter.
The 2026-year fundraising luncheon happens to fall on tax day. This gives us a great incentive to be done with that task and ready for a fun and informative time without the burden of preparing tax forms.
On a happy note, we will feature Little Village/Stanton Yards as our keynote speaker’s topic. What is this? It’s a section of Detroit near Pewabic Pottery being developed as a cultural corridor fostering a community centered around the arts.
The Shepherd, a 110-year-old church has been transformed into an art gallery with the rectory now being a boutique bed & breakfast.
The renowned Tony Hawk collaborated with an artist to create a unique skate park.
A James Beard Award-winning chef brings her patisserie Warda to the area, joining a restaurant and bar.
The grounds feature a sculpture park. Stanton Yards extends the art community along a canal to the Detroit River. And this is just some of the arts campus!
With articles in Bloomberg, New York Times, Forbes, TIME, local newspapers and several art and architectural news outlets, Little Village and Stanton Yards is a topic you won’t want to miss.
The Daffodil Day Luncheon features a very tasty and attractive salad with chicken and a signature dessert and beverage await you. (Dietary restrictions are accommodated.)
Our retailers continue to offer new and tempting wares.
There is a new issue of the gorgeous yellow Daffodils4Detroit tile that (almost) sold out in 2025.
The newly renovated Casino on Belle Isle is our featured attraction and, of course, a visit to the Conservatory and nearby Oudolf Garden is a must.
Please join us at the Daffodil Day Luncheon on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle. Registration begins at 11 am and lunch is served at noon.
Following lunch, the Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources will provide an update on Belle Isle, the state’s most visited state park and you’ll hear about Little Village and Stanton Yards.
And the beautiful centerpieces are loaned to us for the event by talented branch and club members. Thank you for making this a visually happy and fun event!
See you on 4/15/2026 at the Detroit Yacht Club!
